Karen Bourgeois

Columbia, Missouri criminal defense and family law attorney Karen Bourgeois is a Missouri native and a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. While in law school, Karen clerked for the law firm of Harper, Evans, Schneider & Netemeyer in Columbia, gaining valuable experience in the areas of family and criminal law. Following her admission to the Missouri Bar in 2000, Karen worked for the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office for three and a half years in the Appellate/Post-conviction Division. In 2004, Karen opened her own law office to offer experienced, quality legal representation at affordable rates.

Prior to embarking on her legal career, Karen was the office manager and bookkeeper for her family winery in Rocheport, Missouri. An avid animal lover, Karen has adopted a dog and two cats from the Humane Society of Central Missouri.
